What are you fees?

Our fees are 5% of ticket sales + merchant charges (approx 2.9%).

Bulk emails and SMS attract a fee of 50c per recipient per message.

Optionally, we provide box office support (ticket scanning & sales, and guest registrations at the gate) at a fee per hour depending on the number of staff required.

Skybookings was first established in 2015 as an RSVP management platform for private events like gala dinners and awards.  

We have served large clients, including Gauteng Cricket, Joburg Fashion Week, Clicks Group, and many others.

We recently entered the ticket retailing space, bringing a host of RSVP management tools that other platforms do not have.

skybookings is owned 100% by The Sindane Family Trust.  

It was founded and developed by Vusi Sindane, an entrepreneur and software engineer with 24 years experience.  

Above all, skybookings.com is a home-grown South African platform.

Ticket sales are paid to clients every Wednesday.  

The cut off day for the week is on Mondays 12:00, at which point we calculate and schedule the payout for the next Wednesday.  

Only South African bank accounts are supported for pay outs at this stage.  More countries will launch in 2026.

All ticket sales are processed in South African Rands (ZAR).  

Where a patron is buying a ticket from a foreign country, skybookings will do the currency conversion automatically.  

Therefore, tickets can be purchased from anywhere in the world, but they are ultimately processed in ZAR.

Through Paystack, our payment service provider (PSP), skybookings offers Credit Card, Debit Card, Cheque Card, Electronic Bank Transfer (EFT), and Snapscan.  

Please note that no card or banking information is shared with us.  

All payment details are processed directly by Paystack, which passes back tokens (i.e. signals of transaction success of failure).

Our support details are clearly stated on multiple occasions on the booking page.  

Should a patron struggle to secure their spot, they can tap on the support link which will open a verified WhatsApp chat.  

Our support team will not collect any payment information, and may not receive payments on your behalf.  All payments must be made online through skybookings.  

yes, skybookings processes refunds upon client approval.  

To avoid money-laundering, refunds are only processed to the payment method used to buy the ticket.  

Please note that skybookings fees and PSP fees are non-refundable. In other words, the full ticket amount may be refunded to the patron upon approval, but the fees will still apply to the event organiser.

Because we pay out ticket sales every week, cancellations result in the immediate deactivation of the event for 48 hours.  

During this period, events can still take bookings. However, all unpaid ticket sales are held by skybookings to process refunds if necessary.

We work very closely with organiser to communicate the cancellation or postponements while putting patrons first.
