At Skybookings, we are committed to ensuring that patrons have a seamless and transparent experience when purchasing tickets and attending events. This document outlines the policies that govern your rights and responsibilities as a ticket buyer.
1. Purchasing Tickets
1.1 Ticket Sales
- Tickets are sold through the Skybookings platform on behalf of event organizers. Skybookings acts as an intermediary and is not the event organizer.
- Ticket availability, pricing, and event details are determined solely by the event organizer.
1.2 Payment Methods
- Payments are securely processed via trusted payment service providers (PSPs).
- Accepted payment methods include debit/credit cards, EFT, and other options as provided by the event organizer.
1.3 Ticket Delivery
- Tickets are delivered electronically via email and/or sms, and your skybookings patron account upon successful payment.
- Patrons are responsible for providing accurate contact information to ensure ticket delivery.
2. Refunds and Exchanges
2.1 Refund Policy
- Refund policies are set by the event organiser and will be displayed on the event page.
- Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase.
2.2 Refund Requests
- Requests for refunds must be submitted directly to the organizer or via Skybookings if the organiser permits mediation.
- Refunds are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the organiser’s refund policy.
2.3 Non-Refundable Tickets
- Tickets labeled as “non-refundable” or “final sale” are not eligible for refunds unless the event is canceled or as required by law.
2.4 Event Cancellation or Rescheduling
- If an event is canceled, patrons will be notified, and refunds will be processed based on the organiser’s policy.
- If an event is rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the new date unless otherwise stated.
3. Event Attendance
3.1 Ticket Validity
- Patrons must present a valid ticket (digital or printed) for entry to the event.
- Tickets are non-transferable unless explicitly permitted by the organiser.
3.2 Conduct at Events
- Patrons are required to adhere to the rules and regulations of the event venue.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund.
3.3 Event Changes
- Event details, including time, location, and lineup, are subject to change at the discretion of the organiser.
- Skybookings is not responsible for changes made by organizers.
4. Chargebacks and Disputes
4.1 Chargebacks
- If a chargeback is initiated without prior communication, Skybookings reserves the right to suspend the patron’s account pending resolution.
4.2 Dispute Resolution
- Skybookings encourages patrons to resolve disputes directly with the organiser unless otherwise stated.
- If mediation is required, Skybookings will facilitate communication but cannot guarantee outcomes.
5. Privacy and Data Security
5.1 Data Collection
- Skybookings collects personal information to process ticket purchases and provide services.
- Data collected includes your name, contact details, and payment information.
- Organisers may require more details, including dietary requirements or attendees information, to facilitate the event.
5.2 Data Usage
- Personal data is used in compliance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and Skybookings’ Privacy Policy.
- Skybookings does not sell or share personal data with third parties without consent.
5.3 Secure Transactions
- All payments are processed through encrypted and secure payment gateways.
6. Liability
6.1 Skybookings’ Role
- Skybookings acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the content, organisation, or quality of the event.
- All liability for the event rests with the organiser.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
- Skybookings is not liable for damages, including personal injury or property loss, occurring at the event.
- Skybookings is not responsible for financial losses due to event cancellations, rescheduling, or organiser actions.
